Financial Aid

financial aid

With a commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive community, Friends School strives to make an independent school education affordable for students of varying financial recourses. There are no income limitations for financial aid consideration, but instead, a number of factors are evaluated.

Tuition assistance is available for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. It is strictly need-based; families receiving assistance must reapply annually. The process of seeking and receiving assistance is separate from the admissions process.

Scholarships

scholarship Opportunities

Friends School Scholarship

Friends School offers a scholarship which is income based. The application is reviewed by an independent third party.  The application is evaluated using a mathematic ratio which determines who receives the award and in what amount. The process of seeking and receiving the scholarship is separate from the admissions process and families must apply annually to be considered.  For more information, please contact Melanie Willis in the Business Office at 502.899.1822

School Choice Scholarship Program

School Choice was established in 1998 by community leaders to provide access for children from low-income backgrounds to quality education. The founding members believed that all children should have the same opportunities for academic success.

School Choice has awarded more than 4,500 scholarships to Louisville’s children to attend more than 60 private and parochial schools throughout the community. School Choice Scholarships are available to students in kindergarten through 8th grade who meet certain income requirements.  School Choice scholars consistently show enormous advancement in academic performance, and their families report much improved behavior and enthusiasm for learning.

If you think that your family may qualify for financial assistance, please visit the School Choice Website at www.schoolchoiceky.org for further information.
